He Said: Convickt? or Contricked?
Stop blitzing Michael Vick's character

There are some big-time wussies out there with some major misconceptions about Michael Vick. No one is going to deny that Vick is pretty much a grade-A douche. His actions were despicable.
With that having been said, the man fully served his time in prison and didn’t use some “get-out-of-jail-free card” that most athletes pull out. After two long years, he’s doing his part to get back into the game that made him who he is, and radical activists with nothing to do are trying to stop him.
Mike Vick was raised in a society where the line between right and wrong was blurred massively. Just look at his brother Marcus. He raped a fifteen year old, stomped on a guy’s face, and has often been seen driving on the wrong side of the road. These kids were raised in the projects of Virginia, and it shows. It is pretty difficult to place the blame purely on him without looking at the environment he was raised in as well.
The act of dog fighting itself must be looked at too. Mike Vick didn’t do anything different for dogs than what Don King does for boxers, and those dudes beat up humans, not beasts.
Zoe will probably talk about how cute and furry she thinks dogs are, but pit bulls are not so. They’re scary and vicious and I honestly have a hard time showing them that much empathy.
More than anything, I just feel bad for Michael Vick. He’s the victim in this situation. The penalties for his co-conspirators? Diddly freaking squat. The criminal justice system saw Vick as a way to make an example, and they did just that.
Roger Goodell got it right. The NFL commissioner knew that Vick served his time, and only suspended him for two games. He almost seems to be a better gauge of punishments than the United States. Donte Stallworth, a Browns wide receiver, actually killed a pedestrian while he was driving drunk. That’s vehicular manslaughter. His penalty? A measly thirty days in prison and hella probation. However, the commish knew what was up and suspended him for an entire year.
Not many people know that Michael Vick is actually more broke than shattered glass. He had a 10-year, 100 million dollar contract that got completely voided due to his time in the pokey. He spent a fair amount of this money before he had to give it back, and had some taken by “needy” family members and friends. Additionally, a seedy financial advisor and his law firms took millions of dollars from him. Currently, Vick is legally bankrupt.
Mikey Mike deserves to be on a football field. By far the greatest athlete ever to put his hands beneath a center’s rear, Vick is an absolutely electrifying quarterback. He’s still in his prime at the tender age of 29, and he has two more years of top level football left. I can’t wait to see him prove his haters wrong playing for the Eagles. He’s going to skin some Bears, maul some Bengals, strangle some Broncos, and lynch some Lions. And I can’t wait to see him do it all.
