Actually I read a book called Dianetics, Evolution of a Science which led to Scientology and I then tried Scientology and, guess what, it worked. And I didn't have to take drugs or have electric shock to my brain.

Truth is, Scientology is threatening the billions in profits of drug companies because we are against things like the drugging of children.. And then there is the psychiatric community still using electric shock (talk to Ernest Hemingway about that -- oh, never mind, he shot himself after electric shock). Interesting also that people seem to have forgotten the 20,000 lobotomies done on Americans by these "scientists".

Scientology uses nothing but communication, and if someone feels that it wasn't helpful, they can get a refund. Try getting a refund from the drug companies or the psychs.

EDITED

Outsider, your comments are 100% how I feel.

My favorite comment thus far has been this anti-scieno germ:

"Outsider, your comments are 100% how I feel.

My favorite common thus far has been this anti-scieno germ:

"Nice pro scientology article. Could you possibly be a scientologist"

It’s like McCarthyism or The Salem Witch trials. If you dare question anti-scientology, then you must be a scientologist. Anti-scienos are truly the most paranoid and delusional idiots on the planet.

An honest-to-goodness Seattle Scientologist here. I enjoyed the article and all of the comments, whether supportive of religious freedom or just plain hateful of my Church. I just want to say that when it comes to my choice of religion, it really doesn't matter what anybody else says, so all you haters and the like feel free to spout off as much as you like. Scientology works for me, and I've seen how it improves other peoples lives too. That's all that matters. It has no force-fed dogma like other religions. In fact, it emphasises freedom and focuses on self-determinism more than any other religion I've studied - and believe me, I have studied A LOT of other religions over the past 17 years. The bottom line is, the only way to TRULY know the TRUTH about Scientology is to read the basic books by L. Ron Hubbard: Dianetics, A New Slant on Life, The Fundamentals of Thought, to name just a few. READ A BOOK FIRST and then make up your own mind! Why do people insist on taking others opinions as the only information on Scientology? For example, you may think that a thetan is something weird and creepy. Did you know that the word "thetan" is derived from the Greek letter theta and in Scientology is used as simply another word for "spirit" or "soul"? Seriously, there is SO MUCH false information out there. The only way to get the truth is to go to the source. That is all.

If you write an article about Scientology and get 100 comments, does that get you an A in journalism class?
