Clifford and Simon's music picks

“Last Call” — Outkast
Easily the hyphiest Outkast song, last call can be found as track 18 on the Speakerboxxxxx album. I may not konw what “holding the wall” means, but after hearing the song I have deduced that it is not a good thing to do.

“My Kitchen” — Gucci Mane
This song may not make any sense whatsoever but its message rings true; nobody f***s wit Gucci’s kitchen. Upon further investigation of the music video of this lyrical masterpiece we learn two things about Gucci; he rarely wears a shirt and he loves to pass the blunt.

“Gay Fish” — Kanye West
Do you like fish sticks?.….….…then you’re a gay fish.

“My President is Black” — Young Jeezy
Through all of the mindless, uninspired rap these days it is quite refreshing to listen to a rapper that is truly passionate abut the current political state of our country. A comment on the years of racial in Washington this song truly reflects the inner strife we all feel. Obama would be proud.

“Life’s Been Good” — Joe Walsh
Ay mane, Joe Walsh goes soooooo hard on dis cut.

“Dead Wrong” — Notorious B.I.G.
Quite possibly one of the greatest B.I.G. songs of all time, many would disagree with some of the more controversial lyrics. I just don’t see anything wrong with: “smack the (female) in the face; take her Gucci bag and the North Face.”

“Spirit in the Sky” — Norman Greenbaum
Despite fairly obvious religious undertones, “Spirit in the Sky” remains up there on the list of greatest songs of all time. We can all look forward to meeting said spirit when we die on December 21, 2012.

“Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangster” — Geto Boys
Yes, it does. Yes, it does.

“Trying to Find a Balance” — Atmosphere
A classic Atmosphere song with a great beat. What’s not to love.
