Before the 21st century, the college recruitment of high school athletes was pretty simple. During the athlete’s junior or senior year, they visit a few college campuses and meet the coaches, seeing if the school’s athletic program is a good fit for them. However, in today’s world of internet blogs and scouting websites, high school athletes get scouted earlier and earlier, resulting in earlier recruitment by colleges.
